Hello,

My name is Jenna, and I am 13 years old. I live in a small, beautiful Colorado town called Monument. I first started making Jazzies when I was nine from various types of ribbon and ribbon yarn. My friends at school started requesting necklaces in their favorite colors. In the fall of 2008, the owner of a local artisan shop said, “I think you have something here.”
She encouraged me to learn additional jewelry making skills and fine-tune my designs. I started making pendants and created my own line of jewelry.

I decided to call my necklace sets “Jazzies” because the blend of colors and textures would instantly make an outfit look so much better – or jazzier! I had many customers bring their own pendants to me to match to one of my necklace cords. The colors of the pendants are enhanced by my cords – they really jazz up your jewelry.

In 2009, I received the Colorado Young Entrepreneurs Award for my age group and started my website. My business has continued to grow and expand. I have had so much support from my family and friends as my business has taken off. My mom is my purchasing agent, my dad and brother help with my display, my grandmother is the cashier, and my customers are my marketing personnel. I put in many hours designing and crafting my jewelry, but it has been a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy your Jazzies as much as I enjoy making them.
